A Christmas Birthday for Halloween and the Diva Dog

This post has been a few weeks in the making. First I couldn't find my camera cord and then the power source went out on the computer. Whew! Glad thats over!

Brennen has been saying for a few years now, how he pretty much gets jipped for his B-Day. His birthday is on Christmas Day and being a busy month and all, I usually make him share with Riley because his is on Dec. 14. I always think I will do better but sadly I don't. Anyway, this year we had a Halloween party for Brennen. I feel like the worse Mom because I didn't take very good pictures. But they had pizza, Halloween cupcakes, Halloween goodie bags, and then Brian took them to the Haunted Forest and Phsyco Manor(thanks for getting me out of that one Brian). They had a blast and now Brennen can say, that he has had is very own Birthday party!

Ok I just had to put this on here. Josh picked out this outfit for Izy. Too funny!

Riley has a new talent. The funniest part was that when he did it Brennen thought is was so gross he threw up. I don't think I will be making spaghetti any time soon!

6 Quirks

1- I love to buy magazines, especially ones with recipes. I have just started to go through them all and pull out what I want because there isn't anymore room in my house!
2- I only wear boring colors(black, white, brown, grey, etc.) I will buy other colors but will not wear them. Weird I know!
3- I hate going to the post office and the bank, and will procrastinate going as long as I can(just ask anyone who has written me a check).
4- I have severe anxiety. I can't sleep at night because I sit and think about all the dumb stuff I did or said during the day.
5- I like my dishwasher loaded a certain way. My way.
6- I hate to go downstairs to find the kids, so I yell down the vents or down the stairs.(Jason helped me with this one)I think I will work on this!

6 people I tag are: Kelly, Mandy, Tricia, Jill...

Blessings

Brian had his surgery last weekend on his throat finally, and this week we found out that he does not have cancer! Yeah! What a relief! After the surgery the Doctor sounded pretty sure that he had some type of lymphoma and we were pretty scared, but the tests came back all normal. They don't know why he was having the swelling, but it's not cancer so we are glad.

We just want to say thank you to all our family and friends who fasted and prayed on our behalf. It gave us a lot of comfort and strength through this hard couple of weeks. We love you all.

"18"

Happy B-Day Jason! Looking back at these pictures I can't help but feel so grateful to be a mom to such a great kid! I must say that it has been an emotional week, I had a flood of memories coming back. Nothing has changed, he is still around, has to finish high school and all but it just struck me how truly fast the time we have with them goes by. He has always been such a cute boy, such a yellow personality, easy going, and quick to forgive, so opposite of me! It's amazing how much we learn from our kids. Love you Jase!

Chloe

Swiss Days is over!!! Yeah! Yes, I know it's been a few weeks, but it was quite the ordeal. With school and sports starting at the same time it's been crazy! I feel like I am finally getting into a routine with the kids and things are settling down a bit. I was thinking how relieved I would be when sports are over, but there is always something else. I guess that's life!

Today when I woke up, this is what I found sleeping next to me! It was so sweet I couldn't help but wake them up in order to take a picture. Chloe has been the best dog and the best comfort and love for the boys (and myself). We are very lucky to have a dog that is just happy to be there with you!

Surprise!

Brian and I have been wondering what these weird bushes are in our front yard all summer! About a month ago they started getting buds on them and I assumed they must be sunflowers or something, but to our surprise, when I went out this morning this is what I found! So pretty!

These are some pictures from the field trip I went on with Riley and Brennen yesterday. It was great to see what my kids have been doing every year. This field trip is for team building, they have them do different activities that in order to succeed thy have to work together and help each other. It's pretty cool. The teachers put a lot of work and thought into it!

Crazy Life

Josh's birthday, football, soccer, boxing, football, boutique's. Seriously, this week has been nuts! Josh turned 14 on Tuesday...I can't believe he is that old! He wanted to go boating so we grabbed a few friends and went to Utah Lake, ate cupcakes and pizza and had a great time!

School started on Wednesday, Jason is a senior this year(that would be another thing I can't believe) he goes to the MATC(mountainland applied technology college)for half of each day and then to the high school the other half, he is really liking it! Josh goes to the Junior High and is in 8Th grade. Riley is in 6Th grade and has a new teacher this year, Mr. Roberts(he has had Mr. M. for 3 yrs.)and is really liking him! Brennen has Mr. M. of course, it has been a rite of passage for all of the kids to have him for 3 yrs., he is loving his class. Mr. M. is an amazing teacher!
It's a little early!

I have been doing two boutiques a week. On Wednesday, Tammy and I go the the Park City farmers market, It's been fun to sell our jewelry to people from all over America! Friday's we go to the Thanksgiving Point farmers market. Next week we are going to Swiss Days! Crazy!

In between all of this there is football practice x 2, boxing, soccer, homework, beading, cleaning, laundry, cooking(Brian laughs), PTA, relief society, and everything else I forgot to mention! It is a CRAZY life for sure!

He's Back...

Josh is finally back from his week long scout camp. You would think that having one less boy to feed and clean up after might be nice, but Josh is my kid that always get's up and gets his chores done(and might I add does them well). He had a great time! Sooo glad to have him back...our home just doesn't feel the same when one of the kids are gone.
Riley went on an overnighter friday night and caught two fish, he also had a fun time and came back ready for a good shower! Thank heavens for(not so) little boys!

Jason's hair

I always said that MY kids weren't going to dye their hair a weird color, but here you go! It's more black than the pictures show. I thought Grandma McGill would get a kick out of this! I guess what comes around DOES go around...thanks Jason!
